You Don't Go Home to an Empty House

After your procedure at Wellbridge Surgical or St. Vincent Carmel, a family member or friend drives you directly to Home2 Suites by Hilton in Carmel (12845 Old Meridian Street). One of our dedicated caregivers — Evelyn, Lori, or Charmaine — will be waiting in the lobby to welcome you.

You'll stay in a private one-bedroom suite overnight. Your caregiver monitors your progress, ensures your comfort, and maintains direct communication with PA Amanda, Dr. Aker, and Dr. Beckman throughout the night. Depending on your procedure, you may wear compression sleeves and an oxygen monitor.

Early the next morning, Amanda (PA) or Lisa (RN) arrives to check on you and dismiss the caregiver. The caregiver departs at 7:00am — your family member must arrive by 6:30am. Hotel checkout is 11:00am.

The Process

What to Expect

Before You Arrive

Pick up all prescribed medications before surgery — caregivers do not carry medications
Bring low-sodium snacks (pudding, applesauce, bread) for taking medication
Arrange for a family member or friend to drive you to the hotel after surgery

During Your Stay

Caregiver monitors your progress throughout the night
Direct line to PA Amanda, Dr. Aker, and Dr. Beckman
Water provided; nearby Meijer and delivery restaurants available
Compression sleeves and oxygen monitoring as needed

Morning Discharge

PA Amanda or Lisa RN arrives early morning to check on you
Caregiver departs 7:00am — family must arrive by 6:30am
Patients cannot be left alone at any time
Hotel checkout 11:00am — take your time

Can my family stay with me at Home2 Suites?

Yes. The one-bedroom suite accommodates a family member. Your family member must be present by 6:30am for morning handoff — patients cannot be left alone.
